Find My Journey for schools & institutions

Give every student a direction — before the conversation even starts.

Most students arrive at careers appointments without a clear sense of who they are or where they’re headed. Find My Journey changes that — giving your advisors a rich, psychologically grounded starting point before they’ve said a word.

Richer conversations
Advisors arrive prepared. Students arrive with direction. No wasted time.

Sensitive Explorer Protocol flags students who may need a gentler approach — automatically.
Privacy by design
Australian-hosted. PIA completed. Advisor reports never shown to students.

Built for the advisor
as much as the student.

“Career advisors are among the most under-resourced people in a school. One advisor, hundreds of students, and thirty minutes per appointment to make something meaningful happen.”
Arrive informed, not blank. The advisor report gives you a complete picture of the student — their values, working style, environment preferences, career matches, and any pastoral signals — before you open the door.
Time savings that add up. Instead of spending the first ten minutes of every session drawing out a student who doesn’t know where to start, you can spend all thirty minutes going deeper. At scale across a year group, that’s transformative.
A much richer starting point. Find My Journey doesn’t give you a list of jobs. It gives you a student — their story, their strengths, the environments where they’ll flourish, and the honest pathways that match who they actually are.
Cohort-level insight at a glance. The dashboard shows you who’s completed, what career clusters are emerging, and who may need a more careful conversation — all before your first session of the day.

How schools use Find My Journey

01
Year 9 & 10 subject selection
Help students choose senior subjects with a clearer sense of direction. Find My Journey surfaces values and interests that inform subject choice conversations — before students are locked into a pathway that doesn’t fit.
02
Year 11 & 12 career planning
Give senior students a personalised career map they can bring into pathways advisor appointments. Covers ATAR and non-ATAR pathways, apprenticeships, TAFE routes and direct employment — not just university.
03
VCE VM and applied learning
Particularly well-suited to VCE VM cohorts and students who struggle with traditional test formats. The assessment is conversational, not time-pressured, and results include practical, work-ready pathways alongside further study options.
04
Neurodiverse and disengaged students
Explicitly designed for students who don’t perform well under pressure — including neurodiverse students, school refusers and those with anxiety. No timed tests. No competitive framing. No wrong answers.

Everything in your
school’s licence.

One annual licence covers your whole campus. No per-seat admin. No hidden extras. No surprises.

Advisor portal access
Nominated staff get full visibility across your whole year level — completion status, career pathways, flagged students — from one dashboard.
Cohort insights dashboard
Career direction breakdown, completion trends, branch distribution and support flags across your cohort — updated in real time.
Pastoral visibility via SEP flag
Advisors are looped in, not left guessing. Students who may benefit from a more considered approach are flagged automatically — without requiring disclosure.
Advisor-only  ·  never shown to students
Individual advisor reports
Every completed student generates a structured advisor report — career matches, values profile, working style, environment fit, and pastoral guidance where relevant.
Student delivery & distribution
Personalised assessment links sent directly to students. Results delivered immediately on completion. No app download or student login required.
Reporting ready to share
Export cohort-level data for leadership reporting. Structured for sharing with principals and boards, not just frontline advisors.

Built on established
vocational psychology.

Not a quiz. Not a personality test. A psychologically rigorous assessment grounded in decades of career development research — delivered in a format young people actually engage with.

01
Holland’s RIASEC model
The world’s most widely validated career interest framework, mapping student interests to six work personality types and the environments where they thrive.
02
Super’s life-span theory
Recognises that career identity is developmental, not fixed — particularly appropriate for young people who are still forming their sense of self and purpose.
03
Savickas’s career construction
Career as narrative and meaning-making, not just occupation matching. This is what gives Find My Journey results their warmth and personal resonance.
04
Ipsative measurement
Forced-choice pairs reduce social desirability bias — students answer what feels true, not what sounds impressive. Significantly more honest than Likert-scale self-assessment.

Unlike traditional tools, we ask who a student is.

Most career tools ask students what they’re qualified for, or what they might be good at on a timed test. Find My Journey asks who a student is — their values, their working style, the environments where they flourish, and how they respond to challenge.

The result is a genuinely personalised narrative written for each individual student, referencing what they actually told us — not a generic list of occupations matched to a score.

Full methodology documentation is available on request for institutions that require it for procurement or governance purposes.

Evidence-based AI-personalised Built for institutions Neurodiverse-friendly

Privacy done properly.

We know schools can’t afford to get privacy wrong — particularly when it comes to students under 18. Here’s what we’ve done.

Australian-hosted
Student data is hosted exclusively on Australian servers (Sydney region). No student data leaves Australia.
Contractual clarity
A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is in place for every institutional client, clearly defining data ownership, retention and handling responsibilities.
Assessed, not assumed
A Privacy Impact Assessment (PIA) has been completed, including specific consideration of the Children’s Online Privacy Code 2026 exposure draft.
Human in the loop
Every AI-generated result is an advisory output only. A human always reviews it before any institutional response is taken.
Advisor reports stay internal
The pastoral advisor report is visible only to nominated institutional staff. It is never shown to the student and never leaves the portal without your explicit action.
Minimal data collection
We collect only what is necessary to generate results and power the advisor dashboard. No third-party advertising. No data brokering. No unnecessary profiling.
Documentation available on request: DPA, PIA, methodology documentation and our accessibility statement are available to any institution that requires them for procurement or governance purposes. Contact us at hello@findmyjourney.com.au.
