Find My Journey for DES providers
Disability Employment Services providers work with job seekers who face significant barriers to employment — including mental health challenges, learning differences, anxiety, limited work history, and difficulty in traditional interview or assessment settings.
Find My Journey was designed with these Explorers in mind. The Sensitive Explorer Protocol identifies job seekers who need calm, structured, low-pressure pathways — without requiring them to disclose their condition — and filters results accordingly.
The Sensitive Explorer Protocol
When Find My Journey detects signals that a job seeker may benefit from more supported employment options, it activates a specialised results filter that:
- Excludes roles with high sensory load, banter-heavy cultures or unpredictable environments
- Prioritises roles with clear, repetitive tasks in small stable teams
- Surfaces pathways with structured training, patient supervision and gradual responsibility growth
- Uses warmer, more encouraging language in the results summary
This happens automatically, based on the job seeker’s own answers — not on a clinician’s judgment or a disclosed diagnosis.

Using Find My Journey in DES practice
Find My Journey is not a vocational assessment tool and does not replace formal work capacity assessments or job matching processes. It is best used as:
- A conversation starter in initial appointments
- A structured activity for job seekers who struggle to articulate their interests and preferences
- A way to surface job seeker values and work environment needs in a non-clinical, non-threatening format
- A CV generation tool for job seekers with limited work history
